Manchester Homelessness Partnership – Reviewed

Since we relaunched the Partnership last summer, we have been reviewing the role and structure of the Board, with the goal of re-shaping it to make it as effective as possible. Neil Cornthwaite, Partnerships Manager at Barnabus, consulted those involved in the Partnership. The outcomes of this review include:

• A new structure, with a direct connection between the Action Groups and the Board, as well as a new Co-production Advisory Panel.

• A new Terms of Reference for the Board, including amendments to membership, outputs and accountability.

• A new communications flow, to increase our influence across Manchester and the wider region.

If you are interested in finding out more, please get in touch at zainab@macc.org.uk.

Business in the Community and Booth Centre – Celebrating 7 years of partnership working

For many, working is the best way out of homelessness – but to help people who have experienced homelessness into employment, support for additional barriers such as housing, health and benefits is key.

The Business In The Community and Booth Centre Ready For Work partnership did just that, supporting 598 people into employment since April 2016. Read more about how they did it here.

Media Enquiries

At the Manchester Homelessness Partnership, we are occasionally contacted by local and national media outlets to comment on issues impacting people experiencing homelessness, ranging from the cost of living crisis to youth homelessness.

If you are interested in receiving and responding to relevant enquiries from the media, please get in touch with zainab@macc.org.uk to be added to a media enquiries mailing list.

Keep up to date with future events from the GMHAN here.
